NG24 Spring in Malmö Nordic Game

On Tuesday (20 May), a major part of the NG25 Spring programme in Malmö is dedicated to the role of audio in game development. There will be a composers' panel, a presentation on creating the voice for the pet companion Nix in Star Wars Outlaws, and themed sessions on enhancing gameplay with spatial audio, creating engaging voice content, simplifying indie game audio, composing music and SFX for Mouthwashing, dynamic text-to-speech and music licensing for game developers.

On 20 May 2025 the Games Capital Summit returns to Nordic Game, an opportunity for venture-ready companies to connect directly with VCs. Applications for the Games Capital Summit at NG25 are open until 25 April 2025 (here). Hosted by Jason Della Rocca, the Games Capital Summit will allow entrepreneurs to pitch their studio and connect with potential investors. "This is a rare opportunity to sit down with a room full of VCs and angels actively investing in the game space. It's a special situation when the investors outnumber the companies pitching," he comments. VCs including London Venture Partners, Makers Fund, GFR, Sisu, Behold Ventures and MGVC have already confirmed their attendance, along with a handful of active angels.

New for this year's edition is that the three main days of the show will run from Tuesday to Thursday (20-22 May), with a special student programme on the fourth day (Friday 23 May). The new Masterclass Friday will be hosted and curated by the Mighty Diamonds mentor group. All announced masterclasses and speakers can be found here.

Like many other companies, Nordic Game is faced with rising costs: "For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made the difficult decision to increase prices to maintain the high-quality experience you've come to expect from us. This wasn't an easy choice, and we're fully aware that price rises impact our community. (...) To soften the sting, we reintroduced the NG25 Spring half-price sale, and until 30 April you still can get passes and demo stations on the show floor for 50% off."

Nordic Game is a leading games conference in Europe and the "home turf" meeting place for game developers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
