After water comes fire. Just recently, [astragon Entertainment](/company/astragon-entertainment) [announced](https://www.gamesmarket.global/publishing/seafarer-the-ship-sim-new-ip-from-astragon-entertainment-and-independent-arts-software-98987a58df14c9eb713990c6601ec91a) its new IP [Seafarer](/game/seafarer-the-ship-sim), which is being developed by [Independent Arts](/company/independent-arts-software). Now, just a week later, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite has been announced, which is being developed by [weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung](/company/weltenbauer-3d-vertriebs) in Wiesbaden. weltenbauer. is best known for the Construction Simulator games, but is now working on a firefighting simulation. The previous game in the series, [Firefighting Simulator - The Squad](/game/firefighting-simulator), was developed by Chronos Entertainment Software. Like Seafarer, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is funded by the BMWK (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action) with €1,939,023 (from September 2022 to May 2025). "Habanero" was its working title.

The game will be released in autumn 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Retail versions will be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in selected countries. "In Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, you step into the boots of a U.S firefighter like never before, tackling high-stakes missions that include rescuing trapped civilians, combating electrical fires, handling flammable liquids, grease fires, backdrafts, flashovers, and even explosions," according to the product description. "Just like in real firefighting, teamwork is essential. The game features an intuitive and cooperative multiplayer mode with up to 4 players or with the support of NPC teammates which you can command to ensure that no firefighter ever faces the flames alone. (...) Players must employ proper firefighting tactics, utilizing the right strategies and extinguishing agents to battle the blaze effectively."

The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5. It features licensed firefighting equipment and tools from brands such as Haix, Fire-Dex and Stihl, including fire hoses, saws, Halligan tools, axes and extinguishers, as well as personal protective equipment. Rosenbauer America fire trucks such as the TP3 Pumper, Viper, 68' Roadrunner or the new RTX are included in the game. The PC version will support modding with mod.io. On consoles it will also be possible to download mods.
