In December, the funding committee of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW decided to support 26 projects with a total of €1,808,000. Three projects were funded for production, eight prototypes and eight concepts. In addition, seven serious games were approved for funding.

The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW (Film and Media Foundation NRW) is funding 19 games in the production, prototype and concept phases, as well as seven serious games. "Games are an indispensable part of modern media culture and a significant growth industry with enormous creative and economic potential. With our funding, we want to further strengthen the development of innovative games projects and the positioning of North Rhine-Westphalia as a leading games location in Germany," explains Walid Nakschbandi, Managing Director of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
