Epic Games Store Tops $1 Billion in 2024, but 3rd Party Sales Fall Further

The Epic Games Store (EGS) passed the billion dollar mark in revenue in 2024. A total of $1.09 billion was generated (€1.04 billion), an increase of 14.74% over the previous year ($950 million). The number of PC customers increased from 270 million to 295 Million - nearly 898m cross-platform Epic accounts. Although total revenue from the store increased, the percentage of revenue from third-party PC games in the Epic Games Store decreased by 18% from $310 million to $250 million (€239 million). This is also reflected in the number of hours of gameplay. 7.72 billion gameplay hours were counted on the Epic Games Store, of which 2.68 billion hours were from third-party games. This means that Epic Games' own games (Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys) continue to be the revenue drivers on the platform. These figures reflect actual customer spending and don't include the value of coupons, Epic Funding or other promotions.
