Esports World Cup Federation Unveils Timeline, Schedule, Lineup for EWC 2025

The organisers of the Esports World Cup 2025 have revealed new details about this year’s landmark event. Around 2,000 players from 200 clubs, representing over 100 countries, will compete across 24 games, with an impressive total prize pool of $70 million. The EMC Club Champion will receive $7 million, while the MVP Award comes with a reward of $450,000.

The action begins on 7 July, as the Esports World Cup (EWC 25) returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for its second edition. The Esports World Cup Federation (EWCF) has now outlined what players, teams, and fans can expect. A total of 25 tournaments will be held, covering a wide array of titles. These range from unconventional esports entries such as chess to renowned classics including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, Apex Legends, PUBG Battlegrounds, EA Sports FC 25, and Tekken 8. Particularly exciting from a German perspective is the inclusion of the racing title developed by Munich-based Competition Company, which is also part of this year’s official lineup.
