Assemble and Instinct3 Integrate Twitch Extension into Asgard's Fall

To mark the launch of the Early Access version of Asgard's Fall, publishers Assemble Entertainment and Instinct3 have announced a new feature. The title will get a Twitch extension that will allow viewers to interact with the game if streamers use the feature.

So the Twitch extension is not just a cosmetic feature. According to the two co-publishers, Assemble Entertainment and Instinct3, the Twitch chat can influence decisions, trigger waves of enemies or select power-ups. Of course, content creators can decide for themselves whether they want to use the feature during live broadcasts or not. To incentivise its use, the best runs of all creators who use the feature will be recorded in a global leaderboard.

"Working on Asgard's Fall showed us how much potential there is in combining game design and interactivity on platforms like Twitch," said Melvin Frank, Product Lead Publishing at Instinct3. "Features like this not only deepen the gaming experience, but also create shared experiences between communities and their streamers. That's why we invite creators to actively involve their community in the gameplay and make them an integral part of their adventure."

Asgard’s Fall – Viking Survivors, which will be released as Early Access later this day, is developed by the German indie studio Soulpotion. It will be published by Assemble Entertainment and the Berlin-based Content Creator agency Instinct3, which started an indie publishing label last year. The Twitch expansion was developed by Germany-based LayerApps.
