The worldwide box office has already surpassed half a billion US dollars. Following its sensational debut, A Minecraft Movie continues to perform strongly. The film, based on the popular gaming IP, is defending its top spot in all major Western markets and continues to bring in millions. As reported by Screendaily, Comscore now lists the global box office at $551 million, with approximately half of that revenue generated outside the United States.

According to our sister magazine Blickpunkt:Film, over 560,000 tickets were sold in Germany last weekend alone, generating nearly €6 million in revenue. This brings the German box office total to €17.47 million, with 1.67 million tickets sold.

In the US, the film grossed nearly $80 million last weekend. In the UK, it brought in €8.5 million over the weekend and €36.8 million in total. However, unlike in most other countries, A Minecraft Movie is not yet the most successful opening of the year in the UK—that title is still held by Bridget Jones's Diary. In France, A Minecraft Movie also stayed at number one with 471,190 admissions, although its performance was comparatively weaker than in other markets.

Looking at the GSA region, A Minecraft Movie continues to dominate in Austria and Switzerland. In Austria, the film grossed €911,710 in its second week, maintaining its lead over The Amateur and A Working Man. For Switzerland, only first-week data is currently available.
