King opened a new office in Berlin last month, about ten years after opening its first office in the German capital. CTO Eric Bowman told Mobile Gamer: "We're very proud to be a part of the German gaming industry and one of the reasons why we opened an office in Berlin is thanks to the amazing talent that's based there. We wanted to give these employees a great space to come together and work in, and the new office offers this." He said the staff in the new office would be working on several King projects.

Bowman also said that about 2,000 people work in the company's offices. King, which is part of Microsoft-owned Activision Blizzard, has game studios in Stockholm, Malmö, London, Barcelona and Berlin, and offices in Dublin, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Malta. The mobile games company is famous for the Candy Crush franchise, as well as other mobile games such as Farm Heroes Saga. King games are played by over 200 million monthly active users.
