There’s a surprising development at Game Informer: the long-running magazine, which ceased publication in August 2024, is making a comeback thanks to a takeover by German-Ukrainian Gunzilla Games.

Few saw it coming: the internationally respected magazine Game Informer is back. Formerly owned by GameStop, the publication had served for decades as a platform for major game reveals. After 33 years in operation, it shut down in August 2024. GameStop, struggling with the decline of physical game sales, had already closed all its German stores permanently in January.
