A change at the top of Fireshine Games: The British publisher has appointed Brian Foote as its new CEO, succeeding founder James Cato.

Brian Foote is a games industry veteran with senior experience at Amazon, Team17, and Microsoft, as well as a key role in Sony Interactive Entertainment's global third-party team. He replaces Fireshine Games' founder, James Cato, who is retiring.

"Fireshine Games has achieved rapid growth in its digital business over recent years, and 2024 brought major success with the releases of Core Keeper and Shadows of Doubt," said Brian Foote, CEO of Fireshine Games. "We have built a strong publishing team and a solid business foundation, enabling us to weather the industry's challenges. We have a fantastic release schedule for 2025 and beyond, which we look forward to sharing with players. At the same time, we will continue to provide full publishing and co-publishing services to new and existing partners."

Fireshine was founded in 2014 and operated as Sold Out until 2022. Its portfolio includes titles such as Core Keeper and Shadows of Doubt. Fireshine also serves as a co-publisher of award-winning titles, including Lies of P (Neowiz), Balatro (Playstack), and Sniper Elite: Resistance from Rebellion, which currently holds the number one spot in the UK GfK charts.
