Lina Timm, Managing Director of Medien.Bayern—which oversees initiatives such as Games/Bavaria, the XR Hub Bavaria, and Xplr: Media in Bavaria—will take on new responsibilities at the Madsack Media Group in mid-April, right after GG Bavaria. Her successor has not yet been announced.

According to a press release from the Madsack Media Group, Lina Timm will become managing director of RND Fortis, a wholly owned subsidiary of RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland. Lina founded Media Lab Bayern in 2015 and currently serves as managing director of Medien.Bayern alongside Stefan Sutor. The BLM subsidiary oversees eight initiatives, including Medientage München, the TV and Streaming Award Blauer Panther, as well as Games/Bavaria, the XR Hub Bavaria, and Xplr: Media in Bavaria.

As Managing Director of Medien.Bayern Lina played a key role in the Games/Bavaria initiative and therefore in the development of the new Gamerei games property in Munich, Bavaria’s presence at gamescom, the Level Up accelerator programme, and the GG Bavaria. The next edition of GG Bavaria is set to take place at the end of March, likely marking Timm’s final official engagement as managing director of Medien.Bayern.  In December, Lina was able to introduce Robin Rottmann as the team lead for the Games/Bavaria initiative, which she had been managing provisionally for several months.

These Were the Biggest B2B Conferences in Germany 2025
The gamescom week (devcom, now gamescom dev, included) is of course the biggest B2B meeting of the industry as well, but what other important B2B conferences took place in 2025 (Photo: KoelnMesse, edited by GamesMarkt)
