Sustainable Games Alliance Develops Standard for Games Industry to Comply with Regulations
The newly founded Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA) aims to help the games industry take a leading role in sustainability. In an interview with GamesMarkt, Chairman and Co-Founder Jiri Kupiainen reveals why this is an economic necessity, at the latest when the games industry is affected by regulations such as the European Sustainability Reporting Standards and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
The Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA) is organised as a cooperative. This means that the organisation is owned by the member companies, is set up as a not-for-profit company and can accept new members at any time, both companies and associations, who participate via a cooperative share.
